Data Collection

The FleetEdge marketing website collects minimal visitor data. SailrScience uses Netlify Analytics — a privacy-respecting, server-side analytics service that does not use cookies, does not track individual visitors across sessions, and does not share data with third parties. No personally identifiable information is collected through normal site usage.

SailrScience does not use Google Analytics or any advertising-based tracking system. Visitor analytics are aggregate only — page views, referral sources, and geographic regions at the country level. No individual browsing profiles are created.

Cookies

The FleetEdge marketing website does not set tracking cookies. Essential cookies may be used for basic site functionality (such as navigation preferences) but are not used for analytics, advertising, or cross-site tracking. No cookie consent banner is required because no non-essential cookies are set.

ORC Data

FleetEdge analyses ORC certificate data and race results. ORC certificates are public documents issued by national rating authorities — they describe the measurable characteristics of rated boats (hull geometry, rig dimensions, stability, performance predictions). This data is technical in nature and does not contain personal information about boat owners, crew members, or competitors.

Race results used by FleetEdge are published results from ORC Scorer events. These results are part of the public record of ORC-sanctioned competition. FleetEdge uses boat identifiers (sail numbers, certificate references) rather than personal names in its analytical framework.

Contact Information

When visitors contact SailrScience through the email address provided on the contact page, the information they provide (email address, name, message content) is used solely to respond to their enquiry. Contact information is not shared with third parties, is not added to marketing lists without explicit consent, and is retained only as long as necessary to address the enquiry.

International Users

SailrScience serves an international audience across the Mediterranean, Baltic, and global ORC racing community. The privacy practices described on this page are designed to meet or exceed the requirements of the European General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR). Visitors from all jurisdictions receive the same privacy protections regardless of location.
